Charming Sithonia
Sithonia is named after Sithon, son of the god Poseidon. It is the second peninsula of Chalkidiki. The harsh and impressive landscape of the middle "prong" draws nature lovers and tourists in search of a place to escape from the trappings of civilisation.
Its coastline is varied - a succession of fishing villages, picturesque little harbours, deserted beaches of every size, all surrounded by trees and bushes. Sithonia is a discrete symphony in blue and green: there are no adjectives to describe all the tones and hues of the vegetation, the sea and the sky there.
